01Who we are

The Angelique Odessa app and angeliqueodessa.com are operated by Wendeco Norden AB (org. nr 556779-0919, Sweden), with our team on the ground in Odesa, Ukraine. Wendeco Norden AB is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at info@angeliqueodessa.com.

This policy covers the Angelique Odessa mobile app and the pages we host on angeliqueodessa.com. Books and guides purchased on noterad.com are sold through noterad.com's own checkout and covered by its own terms and privacy policy.

02Data we collect

Account

Your email address and name, used to create and secure your account. If you use Sign in with Apple you can share a private relay address instead of your real email. Authentication is handled by Supabase.

Content you share

Profile details, photos you choose to attach, posts and comments, meetups you create or join, RSVPs, your friends list, and any reports you file about content or users. Content you post to community features is visible to other users, and event hosts can see their attendee lists — that's how the product works.

Location (optional)

If you grant location permission, we use your precise location while the app is open only to show your position on the map and order nearby places. The app never uses background location, and you can use almost everything without granting it.

Purchases

Which e-books or products you've unlocked, and purchase receipts needed to restore them (via Apple and RevenueCat). If you buy an event ticket, Stripe processes the payment and we receive the details needed to issue your ticket. We never see or store your card number.

Notifications

If you enable push notifications, we store your push token so we can deliver them. Turn them off any time in system settings.

Device & diagnostics

Crash and error reports via Sentry (device model, OS version, app version, stack traces) — kept separate from your profile and used only to fix bugs. Like every online service, our servers also record standard technical logs (such as IP address) when the app talks to them, and update checks send basic app-version and device information.

Permissions that stay on-device

  • Camera — used to scan QR tickets and confirmations for your Wallet; scanning happens on your device.
  • Photo library — only the images you actively pick are uploaded; we never scan your library.
  • Calendar — used to add your trip itinerary to a dedicated calendar on your device; your calendar is never uploaded.
  • Microphone — not used at all.

03What stays on your device

By default, your Trip planner, Wallet passes and app preferences are stored locally on your phone, along with offline caches such as e-books you've unlocked and phrasebook audio. If you enable Cloud Sync, your Trip and Wallet are stored in Supabase under an anonymous ID so you can restore them; you can turn this off again at any time. Deleting the app removes all locally stored data.

04How we use your data

  • To run the service — accounts, the city feed, places, events, meetups, the library and your purchases.
  • To show community content you and others post, and to run RSVP and friends features.
  • To show your position on the map, if you've allowed location.
  • To deliver notifications you've enabled.
  • To keep the community safe — reviewing reports, moderating content and preventing abuse.
  • To fix crashes and improve stability and performance.
  • To meet legal obligations, such as bookkeeping for purchases.

Under the GDPR our legal bases are: performance of a contract (running the app and your account), consent (location, notifications, photo, camera and calendar permissions — each revocable at any time), legitimate interests (service security, moderation and crash diagnostics), and legal obligation (accounting and tax records).

05Who we share data with

We never sell your data. We share it only with the service providers that run the app, each bound by data-processing agreements:

ServiceWhat it handlesPrivacy policy
SupabaseAccount, authentication, database and storage for app contentsupabase.com/privacy
AppleSign in with Apple and App Store purchases (e-books)apple.com/legal/privacy
RevenueCatIn-app purchase receipts and restore across devicesrevenuecat.com/privacy
StripeCard payments for event ticketsstripe.com/privacy
SentryCrash and error diagnosticssentry.io/privacy
ExpoPush notification delivery and app updatesexpo.dev/privacy

Public information shown in the app — official air-raid alert status, weather and currency rates — is fetched from public data sources without sending your identity.

We may also disclose data if the law requires it, to protect our users or enforce our terms, or as part of a company sale or restructuring — in which case this policy continues to apply.

06What we don't do

  • No third-party advertising and no advertising SDKs in the app.
  • No tracking of you across other companies' apps or websites.
  • No selling, renting or trading of personal data — ever.
  • No background location and no microphone access.
  • No profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

07International transfers

Our providers process data in the EU/EEA and the United States. Where data leaves the EEA, transfers are protected by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and, where the provider is certified, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

08How long we keep data

  • Account and content — for as long as your account exists; removed when you delete it.
  • Purchase records — kept as long as legally required for accounting (in Sweden, up to 7 years).
  • Crash reports and technical logs — kept for short periods, then deleted.
  • Backups — deleted data is purged from backups within 30 days.

09Your rights

Depending on where you live (and always under the GDPR), you can ask us to access, correct, delete or export your data, restrict or object to certain processing, and withdraw consent at any time (for example by turning off location or notifications). Email info@angeliqueodessa.com and we'll respond within 30 days. You can also complain to a supervisory authority — in Sweden, the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) — or to your local data protection authority.

10Deleting your account

Open the app and go to Settings → Delete account. This permanently deletes your account and all associated data from our systems and cannot be undone. You can also email us and we'll delete it for you. Your App Store purchase history remains with Apple under your Apple ID (that's what lets you restore purchases), governed by Apple's own policy.

11Children

The app is not directed at children and is not intended for anyone under 16. We don't knowingly collect data from children; if you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.

12Security

All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit (TLS). Access to personal data is restricted and controlled, and payment details are handled exclusively by Apple and Stripe. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data with industry-standard measures.

13Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we'll update it here and revise the date at the top. If a change is material, we'll also tell you in the app before it takes effect.
