Terms of Use

These terms are the agreement between you and us for using the Angelique Odessa app — your account, purchases, event tickets, the community, Insiders points, and how safety information works.

01Who we are & this agreement

The Angelique Odessa app is operated by Wendeco Norden AB (org. nr 556779-0919, Sweden), with our team on the ground in Odesa, Ukraine ("Angelique", "we"). By creating an account or using the app you accept these Terms of Use, our Privacy Policy, and the community rules below.

Your download of the app from the App Store is additionally governed by Apple's Standard End User License Agreement and Apple's Media Services terms. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and has no obligation to provide support for it; Apple and its subsidiaries may enforce these terms as a third-party beneficiary.

02Eligibility & your account

  • You must be at least 16 years old to use the app.
  • Give accurate information when creating your account and keep your sign-in credentials safe — you're responsible for activity on your account.
  • One account per person; don't impersonate anyone or misrepresent who you are.
  • You can delete your account at any time in the app: Settings → Delete account.

03The service

Angelique Odessa is a city companion for Odesa and Ukraine: a live city feed, curated places, events and meetups, a phrasebook, an e-book library, a wallet for QR tickets and confirmations, Insiders points, and public safety alerts.

The app is a practical travel guide and does not replace official advice. Listings, opening hours, prices and availability change — verify them directly with the venue when it matters. Editorial recommendations reflect our honest opinion, and features may change, be added or be withdrawn as the app evolves.

04E-book & App Store purchases

E-books and reading bundles are one-time (non-consumable) in-app purchases processed by Apple. The full price, including applicable tax for your App Store region, is shown before you confirm a purchase. Purchases are tied to your Apple ID — use Restore Purchases in the app to recover them on a new device.

Each purchase gives you a personal, non-commercial, non-transferable license to read the content inside the app. You may not copy, extract, resell, redistribute or publicly share purchased content.

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple — request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds for payments processed by Apple. If you're in the EU or UK, you consent at purchase to immediate delivery of digital content and acknowledge that this waives the 14-day withdrawal right once delivery has begun; your statutory rights for faulty content are unaffected.

05Event tickets & payments

  • Some events sell tickets in the app, with card payments processed by Stripe; other events are pay-at-the-door, where you pay the venue or host directly.
  • Each event listing shows its own price, what's included, and its refund and transfer terms. Unless a listing says otherwise, tickets are personal and non-transferable.
  • If an event is cancelled and not rescheduled, paid in-app tickets are refunded in line with the listing and applicable law.
  • Events may be hosted by us, by venues or by community hosts. Hosts and venues may set entry conditions (such as age limits, capacity or conduct requirements) and refuse entry where those aren't met.

06Insiders points

Insiders points are a promotional loyalty program. Points are awarded for qualifying in-app actions, and any perks or draws they unlock have their own rules shown in the app. Points have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and are non-transferable. We may adjust or revoke points that were earned in error or through abuse, and we may modify, pause or end the program; where reasonably possible we'll give notice before material changes.

07Community rules & your content

By using community features — creating meetups, posting comments, or adding photos — you accept these terms and our community rules.

There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. The following are prohibited:

  • Harassment, hate speech, or threats of any kind;
  • Sexual or violent content;
  • Spam, scams, or deceptive commercial activity;
  • Impersonation of any person or organisation;
  • Illegal content, or content that infringes someone else's rights or privacy.

You can report any content and block any user directly from the meetup, comment, or profile screens. Reported content is reviewed and, where it violates these rules, removed within 24 hours, and violating accounts are suspended or terminated. We may remove content and restrict accounts as needed to keep the community safe.

You keep ownership of the content you post. By posting photos or text you grant Angelique a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display and moderate that content within the app. Only post content you own or have permission to share.

Meetups connect real people. You're responsible for the meetups you host and attend — we don't vet attendees. Meet in public places and use your own judgment.

08Safety, alerts & travel risk

The app can display official public safety information, such as air-raid alert status, when it is available. This information comes from public sources, may be delayed, incomplete or unavailable, and is provided for convenience only.

Never rely on the app as your only source of safety warnings. Always follow official government travel advisories, local authority instructions, sirens and official alert channels.

Travel in Ukraine carries serious inherent risk, and conditions (including curfews and martial-law rules) change quickly. You make your own decisions about travel, events and meetups and participate at your own risk.

09Third-party services

The app links out to third-party services — taxis (Uber, Bolt, Uklon), stays (Booking.com, Airbnb), venues, Telegram communities, and purchases on noterad.com. These services have their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not a party to, or responsible for, your dealings with them. A link or listing is not a guarantee of their service.

10Intellectual property & license

The app, its design, brand, editorial content, curation and software are owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual-property law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, scrape, data-mine, reverse-engineer (except where the law permits), resell or build a competing dataset from the app or its content. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.

11Disclaimers & liability

The app is provided "as is" and "as available." We don't warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that listings, alerts, translations or other information are complete, accurate or current.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the app; and our total liability for all claims is limited to the amounts you paid us through the app in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for gross negligence or willful misconduct, or your mandatory statutory consumer rights.

12Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms (including the community rules), if required by law, or to protect our users or the service. You can stop using the app at any time and delete your account in Settings. Purchases remain governed by Apple's terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (content license, disclaimers, liability, governing law) survive termination.

13Changes

We may update the app and these terms as the service evolves. When we make material changes we'll update the date above and notify you in the app before they take effect. If you keep using the app after a change, the updated terms apply; if you don't agree with them, stop using the app and delete your account.

14Governing law & disputes

These terms are governed by Swedish law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of any mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live. Disputes may be brought before the competent Swedish courts or, where mandatory law allows, the courts of your home country. Consumers in Sweden can also turn to the National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN). If something's wrong, please contact us first — we resolve almost everything directly.
